Workforce Survey on Employee Engagement
I am a student enrolled in the Master of Training and Development unit at Edith Cowan University . In addition to my role as HR Solutions Manager at ATI-Mirage I am presently undertaking a study into employee engagement and retention in Perth . The purpose of this study is to determine whether Generation Y employees (those born between 1980 and 1994) are less engaged in their employment than each of the other generations and to investigate the various engagement methods and practices to determine which is the most successful with Generation Y. Further, it is intended to determine whether there is a correlation between employee engagement and staff retention. It is my intention to survey a cross-section of generations that work within the West Australian workforce. Participation is on a purely voluntary basis; however I would be grateful if you would agree to participate in this study.
The questionnaire should take approximately 10 minutes to complete and can be submitted online. All survey responses must be received by 30th September.
To complete the study, please go to the following link:

Any information provided will be held in strictest confidence. No personal information will be published in any way that can allow individual identification. The Human Research and Ethics Committee of Edith Cowan University have approved this study. Should you have any other questions regarding this study, please feel free to contact me by phone on (08) 9218 9059 or email kathyh@ati-mirage.com.au .
At the conclusion of this project, the research results will be published in the monthly ATI-Mirage newsletter. The results will also be used to design, develop and deliver a professional development seminar for organisations within the West Australian marketplace. The aim of this seminar will be to increase understanding of Generation Y, what motivates them, what techniques and methods can be implemented to retain them and ultimately how to ensure that all their staff are engaged members of the workforce.
Yours sincerely,
