At ATI-Mirage, we have specialist Work Health and Safety (WHS) trainers delivering our Health and Safety Representative (HSR) Refresher Training course in our Perth CBD training centre, or we can come to you.

This 1 day refresher course will provide you with insight into current issues and changes in the legislative environment and to ensures that Representatives are updated on changes to relevant legislation, codes of practice and general health and safety practices. Health and Safety Representatives are recommended to attend refresher courses every 12 months after the initial training.

Course Content
Western Australian Health and Safety Representatives are recommended to attend refresher courses every 12 months after the initial training. The refresher course ensures that Representatives are updated on changes to relevant legislation, codes of practice and general health and safety practices. Participants will have the opportunity to review their functions and role in the workplace as a health and safety representative. The program will provide insight into current issues and changes in the legislative environment, further skills in negotiation with employers and the opportunity to share best practice with others in the HSR community. All ATI-Mirage WHS trainers have extensive industry experience and have actively involved in the transition to the current WHS legislation.

  • Understanding the importance of the role of HSR as a consultative mechanism, in the prevention of WHS incidents and the promotion of a positive WHS culture

This course is intended for participants who have previously attended the five-day Health and Safety Representatives Training course approved by the Work Health and Safety Commission. However, any person with an interest in Work Health & Safety may attend this course.
