Leading WHS for Supervisors and Managers

The Work Health and Safety Act 2020 provides a framework to protect the health, safety and welfare of workers in Western Australian workplaces, and of other people who might be affected by the work. This course provides participants with an understanding of the duties and obligations under this legislation for everyone in the workplace including duty of care and legal implications and how to promote a positive safety culture within every organisation.

All ATI-Mirage WHS trainers have extensive industry experience and have actively been involved in the transition to the current WA WHS legislation which came into effect on 31 March 2022.

Course Times

• 8:30am to 3:30pm

• Understand what this legislation means to you
• Understand what your roles and responsibilities are with this legislation
• Interpret duty of care
• Recognise that prevention is always better than cure
• Understand what team and organisational characteristics create a strong safety culture
• Improve safety performance and outcomes
• Proactively communicate and promote consultation

This course requires no previous training or experience.
