• Normalising the database
• Understanding table relationships and Referential Integrity
• Indexing

Advanced Queries

• Understanding query joins
• Creating Multi-table queries using different join types
• Creating action queries which update and delete data

Advanced Form Features

• Creating sub-forms
• Using bound combo boxes
• Creating calculated controls
• Setting defaults values and other form properties

Working with Macros

• Creating and saving macros
• Automating Access processes with macros
• Using macros on forms
• Add actions to macros
• Set arguments for macros
• Using Msgbox and Inputbox functions to interact with the user

Database Deployment

• The database splitter wizard
• Working with a split database
• Create switchboards as a user interface tool
• Create custom menus & toolbars and setting start up options for a database

On completion of the course, participants will be able to create customised, menu-driven applications using the advanced features of Microsoft Access.

Completion of the Access Intermediate course or equivalent knowledge is required.
