Review of Intermediate Concepts

• Overview of topics covered during Intermediate Excel course

Advanced Data Tools

• Consolidating data with identical and different layouts
• Filter data – auto & advanced filter
• Data validation & conditional formatting
• Sensitivity analysis with goal seek, scenarios & data tables
• Using outlines

Excel Functions

• Working with specific function groups
• Nesting & combining functions
• Using named ranges

Charts & Pivot Tables

• Apply advanced concepts to Excel charts
• Create pivot tables & charts
• Using calculated fields and other additional pivot table techniques

Excel Automation

• Creating and editing simple Excel macros
• Assigning macros to buttons, toolbars and other objects
• Customising toolbars & ribbons
• Use Power Query to import data
• Basic data transformation using power query
• Applying protection to worksheets & workbooks

On completion of this course, participants will be able to use multiple files, link these with formulas, and work with three dimensional ranges, as well as perform data distribution analysis, attach passwords and have a fuller understanding of the features of Excel.

Completion of Microsoft Excel Intermediate course or equivalent knowledge is required.
