In this one day Excel course, you will learn how to confidently create, format and manage professional spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel, covering essential skills such as entering and organising data, applying formatting to enhance readability, performing basic calculations and using simple formulas, as well as setting up worksheets for efficient printing and presentation, giving you a strong foundation to work productively with Excel in a business environment.

  • Navigating around the worksheet
  • Entering and editing text, numbers and dates
  • Selecting cells and ranges
  • Cutting, copying and pasting text and numbers
  • Inserting and deleting cells, columns and rows
  • Adding, deleting and copying sheets

Working With Excel Files

  • Saving files
  • Opening and closing files

Basic Formulas and Functions

  • Creating formulae using addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Using Excel functions: SUM, COUNT, COUNTA, AVERAGE, MIN, MAX

On completion of this course, participants will be able to create and print a spreadsheet using basic editing and formatting.

A familiarity with the computer keyboard, Window and Word Processing is desirable.
