This 1 day course is for experienced users of Microsoft Project who wish to develop a full knowledge of the package and design their own templates.  If you are a project manager or project team member working with Microsoft Project, you will gain an understanding of the advanced features of this package and how to utilise them to facilitate efficient use of the program.

Review of Microsoft Project Concepts

  • Brief overview of topics covered in the Introduction and Intermediate courses

Customising Microsoft Project

  • Creating custom fields, including graphical indicators, and using formulas
  • Modifying and customising tables
  • Creating custom filters and groups
  • Modifying and customising single and combination views

Working with Multiple Projects

  • Creating Master projects and working with sub-projects
  • Establishing and maintaining links between projects
  • Resource sharing between projects with a common resource pool

Importing and Exporting Data

  • Exporting and importing data from Excel
  • Exporting a Gantt Chart image and table data to Word

Reporting

  • Using and customising graphical reports
  • Using and customising visual reports exported to Excel
Software Notes: This course is applicable to Project 2016/2019 and Project 365 (Plan 3 and Plan 5) desktop application versions of Microsoft Project. This course does not cover browser-based versions of Microsoft Project, such as Project for the Web, Project Plan 1, Project Online or Project Web App. If you’re attending ATI-Mirage’s venue, the course will be delivered on Microsoft Project Professional 2019.
